First, Happy Memorial Day/Weekend! I hope you spent time with family!
The building I where I work, my Coding Monkey job had a book swap. I snuck in, bringing my Coda Languez books, swapped them in while grabbing a yummy lemonade! I brought 6 books and during the whole 5 minutes I was there, two were snatched up!
I might just have to go incognito more often! I didn’t take any pictures this time though.
Yesterday was Soren's last day of school and he is officially now our (lovely) problem for the summer! He has been so excited for summer and I am so happy to let him and his daddy get a long while I escape commute to my day job 45 minutes away. LOL
Here is another snippet from the next short story I am working on for Letter Between Sex and Violence vol. 3 “
He rubbed his chin, tilting his head. Ira talked about remodeling the shower bathroom. She wanted to try a more natural stone grotto style like the one outdoors by the training grounds with the fortified stone watchtowers—
His lips widened into a gleeful smirk as the knocking suddenly went from an annoying metronome to frustrated pounding. Sauntering from the shower and shuddering with pleasure as the cooling air seeped into the healing blisters on his face, he walked towards double dark rosewood doors. With a flourish, he opened both doors, his smirk softening into a smile that did not reach his eyes. “Dardar! To what do I owe the pleasure?”
Darrion, with an ever-present contemptuous glare, flared his nostrils. It was a shame that the bandage over the bridge of his nose only seemed to add ruggedness to the blond’s perfect face. “Get decent.” That baritone was low, with a growl that from any other person would’ve had Tristan’s cock standing at attention.
“Decent, huh? Business meeting?”
“Family meeting.” Darrion turned, though there was a hint of a smirk along that square jaw, violet eyes lifting a bit as he walked from the naked dog in the doorway.
The same dog who felt the hair on the back of his neck stand, his smile faltering as his eyelids narrowed, his jaw set as he clenched his teeth.
Suddenly, he was feeling too cold, fingers trembling as he nodded to no one. “...better get dressed.”
Featured Book
Soren:
I’ve lived the last several years of my life under the control of my step-mother.
Every decision taken away from me, completely suffocating me. At eighteen, she sold me off to the highest bidder and traded one gilded cage for another. I’ve never been anything but a dollar sign to her.
Until two years later Kade Luchetti kidnapped me from my tower, making me yet another dictator’s rag doll.
I have never known freedom; free to make the decisions that impact my life.
But as time goes on under his watchful eyes, I feel I can finally take a breath. Maybe I won’t always be a prisoner.
Kade:
This life of bloodshed and violence, I was born into it. It’s exhausting and I’m tired of it.
My father has made it my sole duty to keep an eye on the broken mafia Princess. Just maybe, if I play my cards right, she could be my way out. A way to leave this life once and for all.
I didn’t plan on falling in love with her – the glass pieces of her soul just as shattered as mine.
