Laptop woes and a teaser!

My laptop is out of commission for the moment, it had a hinge break off and now needs a top case replacement, which means I’m not able to write at the moment! I’m glad for my PA, Laura, as she’s the one who will be sending this for me! Thank you!
We were hit with another blizzard, far earlier than normal, since usually Colorado gets mountains of snow in the spring. Thus kiddo had a lot of extra time at home... after eating all of the Halloween candy.
ALL. OF. IT.
It was a wild time.
Now for a teaser of My Lady of Thorns:
As I left him to chew on his foot, I closed my eyes, using the darkness to focus on her.
Her wild orange hair, flickering like embers. Her lips painted in cherry gloss while her umber skin shimmered with a tint of bronze. Her ruby eyes lidded with long lashes and small blue petals that broke through her flawless complexion.
My flower.
I knew it was mine, and I knew how it would bloom. There would be no thorns that break through flesh. Her blood mixed with perfume wouldn't gurgle from her throat, spilling like bile and vomit down her body. Her chest wouldn't burst open, a rose unfurling from her heart.
I'm not sure if her bloom would be painful.
But with the size of those flowers and how they bunched close together, forming a patch of uneven blues with white trim against the rich bronze of her cheek, underneath long dark red lashes. A sharp contrast that was...parasitic.
Goosebumps radiated from the back of my neck. My fingers dug into the flesh, scratching the freezing itch that dug underneath my skin.
Just like the blue flowers under her skin.
That's how she will bloom. Tiny flowers bursting from every single pore, suffocating and blinding her until she fell into pieces of forget-me-nots.
