Lately I’ve been listening to a cover of a classic OST from the original 1990 animated version of Berserk. The dark medieval and violent gorn of the Dark Fantasy epic about love and redemption was a BIG influence on my writing and a lot of the themes I tend to explore. The mix of outright horror with the fantastical setting filled with evil Gods is a good contrast of a simple story about a guy trying to save the woman he loves, and the family he builds a long that journey.
Kentaro Miura, you are still so very missed and this story deserves to be up there with the likes of Lord of the rings and Game of Thrones.
